About The Coffeehouse
Brewed Awakenings is a family-owned, INDEPENDENT coffee house. There has been a lot of talk about how the Marsceau family came to be “Brewed Awakenings” and I can assure you that Brewed Awakenings is the spawn of a Percocet-influenced dream by the Old Man. There have been twists and turns ever since, and hopefully many more to come.We are proud to offer the best coffee in Cedar Rapids made by people who place coffee in at least one of the top 3 categories of their life and by people who are striving to learn more and more about this complex bean, meanwhile hoping to perfect the extraction process for the benefit of the world! We pull espresso oozing with polyphasic colloidal foam (CREMA!), we pour art on every drink, and we provide a laid-back atmosphere in which stories abound.- Richard, Nancy, Nate, Amy, Josh and Heather Marsceau
