FAQ
What are the guidelines for posting on this website?
For the comfort of the greatest number of people, we have the following guidelines for posting content on the site.

The rule of thumb is this: the content and images should be inoffensive and “family-friendly.” This site does not support content that contains any of the following:
  1. Sex and Nudity – any display or suggestion of sexual activity or the baring of sexual areas of the body. An image of someone in a small swimsuit is acceptable insofar as the image doesn’t focus on sexual areas or show suggestive poses. This restriction also includes advertising businesses that deal in “X-rated” products and services even if the ad itself does not state or show any directly sexual or suggestive content (e.g. Adult bookstores).
  2. Violence and Gore – any overly aggressive or threatening language or images, or bloody or horrific scenes. This is not to say that someone can’t show a photo of his/her hunting rifle for sale. It’s all about the message.
  3. Language/Profanity – If you can look your mother or kindergarten teacher in the face and speak out your post without either of them wincing, you can probably use the same language in your post. If in doubt, leave it out.
  4. Derogatory Terms – We support behavior and language that bring people together rather than create divides. Please leave out any words, expressions or images that are used to denigrate and insult anyone's racial or ethnic background, culture, country, religion, physical characteristics, gender, or sexual orientation.
  5. Illicit Substances or Substance Abuse of Any Kind – Any suggestion or direct expression of illicit drug use or sales, or excessive use of alcohol or substances used to create mind-altering states is prohibited.
Any offensive content anywhere on the site will be removed as soon as it is brought to the site moderator’s attention. The member may apply to resubmit content by contacting the moderator. Offenders may be suspended from using the site for a period of time.
How do I report someone who has posted offensive content?
Click Help on the menu bar at the top of each page. Scroll to the Moderator link and click to open an email message box. Type your message and click Send.
How do I post a classified ad? A business listing? A friend/events ad?

How long do Classifieds and Friend/Event postings last?
The postings will remain visible for 60 days. After that time you may resubmit the same posting or, even better, change the posting so it looks fresh.
Is there any time limit on business listings?
No. But if you pass to the “Great Beyond” please remove your listing on your way out.
I have more than one business, can I list both of them in the biz directory?
There is no limit to the number of genuine businesses members can list.
My spouse also has a business. Can it be listed too?
That is your organization’s decision.
How do I submit a display ad?
Please click Display Ads at the bottom of the homepage.
Who sees my personal profile information?
Non-members only see the “avatar”—the graphic profile and your nickname. Organization members may access your page to see whatever you have included in your profile. Your age remains hidden to everyone except to the site administrator.
Who do I contact for general questions or technical difficulties?
Questions about member postings should be directed to your designated moderator who is accessible through a link on the Help tab. General questions and technical difficulties should be directed to uswmoderator@IlluminedConnections.com.
How do I give feedback to the provider/host of this site?
Your feedback is welcome and encouraged. Please click Feedback at the bottom of the screen to open a box for your comments. All feedback will be read and considered. However, due to limited staff availability our responses will likely be as rare as prairie gorillas.
